3 unique gifts for bridesmaids

My top-rated illustrated gifts for your bride squad.

Your bridal party are an integral part of your wedding. From celebrating your engagement to planning an epic hen party they’re the ones that will be by your side, right through to the big day itself. Show them you appreciate them and honour their friendship with a special gift at your wedding.

Before I give you my top three illustrated gifts for your bridesmaids, I’m going to give you a few pointers of things to think about before settling on the perfect present.

What to look for in a bridal party present:

  1. The individual’s personality – Think about each bridesmaid or maid of honour’s likes and dislikes. If they’re a style queen, they may appreciate a gift that celebrates their love of fashion. If they spend their time participating in a particular hobby, think of a way to incorporate this into their present.

  2. Personal touches For something your squad will treasure forever, include personalised elements such as a significant date or details that make the gift truly unique.

  3. Presentation – Consider finishing touches to elevate your gift – well-wrapped keepsakes will create a real wow factor. Enhance the gift inside with gift boxes, wrapping paper or a tote bag that coordinates with your wedding decor. If you’re giving an illustration or a photo, a frame completes the gift.

Ask your wedding photographer to capture some pictures whenever you decide to hand out the gifts. You’ll have some gorgeously candid, shots of some of your favourite people for your wedding album that you otherwise might have forgotten to request. Brides generally give thank-you presents to their bridal party at a pre-wedding bridal luncheon, during the rehearsal, on the wedding morning or at the reception.

Here’s my pick of the best, illustrated gifts for your bridal party:

Bride and Bridesmaid Portrait

An illustration of you with each, individual bridesmaid or your maid of honour is a sweet way to let your bride crew know how important they are to you. I can draw you as you’ll be on the day wearing your wedding gown and bridesmaid dress, in everyday clothes or even the outfits that you wore during your bachelorette party.

Bridesmaid Dress Illustration

Commemorate your bridesmaids and how beautiful they look wearing their bridesmaid gown with a bespoke dress illustration. I will draw each bridesmaid on a plain white background, to reimagine their dress with a modern fashion illustration-style portrait. Include their name, the dress designer and your wedding date for provenience.

Original Still Life

A collection of objects and memories reimagined in a still life-style illustration is a wholly one-of-a-kind gift for a dear friend. I can combine things from your childhoods, memories from holidays you’ve taken together, and shared interests. Give your bride team the same piece, or speak to me about personalising each one to encompass different meaningful elements.

Hen do gifts for the bride tribe:

Celebrate your upcoming marriage and treat your besties to a custom bride tribe t-shirt or wedding squad sweater. These can be worn during your hen party so everyone knows you’re partying, whilst helping to bring your different friendship groups and family members together.

I work with a fantastic sustainable clothing manufacturer and printing company. They can print my illustrations onto a selection of women’s and men’s tees and jumper styles, all in 100% organic cotton. I can kit you out in a wide range of shapes from cropped and tie-side t-shirts to oversized, drop-shoulder sweaters and comfy hoodies. Perfect for airport fits, post-spa selfies, poolside coverups, nostalgic sleepovers and for staying cosy by a campfire.

Please get in touch for a custom clothing design quote.

All of my wedding illustrations can be drawn before or after your wedding. If I am illustrating your project before the big day, I will ask you to provide me with all the pictures I need to pull the references together (dress, suit, flowers, hairstyle etc). These can be your photos or links to the elements online.

If you would like to discuss the gifts for your dream team, please get in touch. Take a look around my website for further inspiration.
