It’s been a very busy summer and therefore, a while since I wrote a blog! Yesterday, I took my illustrations along to THE Wedding Fayre at Trinity Park in Ipswich to show them to all the bride and groom-to-bes who were visiting the show. I am really enjoying exhibiting my work at local wedding venues, and I particularly enjoyed this fayre. This time I roped in my ever so obliging, always helpful mum into taking me to and from the show, and into helping me set up and pack everything away again at the end. She’s a good egg!

The event centre where THE Wedding Fayre was situated, is an absolutely fantastic venue in itself, and far quirkier than I was expecting. I could completely imagine it, decked out with fairy lights and flowers, ready for a truly beautiful wedding. There were approximately seventy wedding suppliers showcasing their wares and services, with every aspect of weddings covered – from Lacey’s stunning dresses to Amanda’s Ark’s dog chaperone wedding service. There was a really nice atmosphere amongst all of us, and the lovely show organisers Sharon and her team, were extremely welcoming and happy to have me there to be part of it.

Wedding Portraits, a Table Plan and a Fingerprint Tree.

After a short while my stand was set up, with my portfolio books laid out and my easel to one side of my table - ready to meet all the newly engaged couples.

I had a really enjoyable day, chatting to ever so many excited bride and groom-to-bes at different stages of wedding planning - some had just got engaged and hadn’t even set a date, whilst others just needed to sort a few things for their wedding in a matter of months.

I was lucky enough to get the chance to chat to lots of other exhibitors, and truly lucked in with being positioned right next to the lovely ladies at Neats Sweets…they keep me well stocked with pick ’n’ mix thoughout the day!

Thanks so much to all who came to visit my table and gave me such kind comments about my illustrations. I was truly flattered at how well my illustrations were received, and touched by how genuinely excited some of you sounded about involving me in your wedding plans. I look forward to working with you soon!
